What is CareerOneStop’s Business Center?

The Business Center provides one-stop access to information and state and local resources to help your business recruit, hire, and train a strong workforce. The Business Center is one of the CareerOneStop suite of web products, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration.

Data Questions

What is the source of the data on the Business Center?

The Business Center includes data from a variety of federal and state sources, including the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) and the Occupational Information Network (O*NET) at the U.S. Department of Labor; the U.S. Department of Education; the Bureau of Economic Analysis at the U.S. Department of Commerce; the Bureau of the Census at the U.S. Department of Commerce; and other federal, state, and private institutions. Sources of data are cited and web links are provided on the help pages of each of the Business Center’s tools.

Can I suggest changes and additions to the data?

Most of the data used on the Business Center is maintained by federal or state agencies. Please visit the help page of any tool to identify the data source and appropriate avenue for suggesting changes or additions.

Can I publish any of Business Center data directly on my own site?

Yes, CareerOneStop offers web services, which allow you to publish our range of employment, training, and other data directly on your own website. Linking and Advertising Questions

Can I link to any pages of the Business Center?

You are welcome to link from your website to any Business Center page. Please attribute the link to “CareerOneStop’s Business Center.” For information on placing CareerOneStop logos or widgets on your site, please visit Link To Us.

How can I add a link to my website from the Business Center?

As a product of the U.S. Department of Labor, the Business Center does not link to many private websites. However, we do link to additional resources that add value to businesses. Our exclusion policy prohibits links to websites that are discriminatory, biased, or fee-based (that is, exclusively sell or advertise services or products). If you have a link that you feel meets these criteria, please email info@careeronestop.org; include the name, url, and description of the website.

How can I advertise on the Business Center?

The Business Center does not accept advertisements.

Where can I report a broken link on the Business Center?

Please send a detailed description of the broken link and its location, including the web address of the page it is on, to info@careeronestop.org.
