Purpose To support licensed amateur radio operators pursuing postsecondary education in the fields of communications and/or communications technology, electrical/RF engineering, and cybertechnology.
Focus Communications; Engineering, Electrical; Technology.
Qualifications Applicants must be an active, FCC-licensed amateur radio operators; Active foreign amateur radio operators are eligible for the ARDC Scholarships. GPA: 2.0+must be holding an amateur radio license for at least 1 year citizenship: United States and all other countries grade level: H.S. senior, undergrad, graduate; any active amateur radio license class; region: State of Maryland; if no qualified applicant is identified, preference will be given to applicants from the states of Virginia, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, and then the remaining USA; field of study: Communications and/or communications technology, electrical/RF engineering, cybertechnology.
Criteria Selection will be based on the Committee criteria; Preference will be given to applicants who show evidence of demonstrated activity within the several amateur emergency communications programs such as MARS, ARES, and RACES.

To Apply Applicants must be submit online application form; transcripts and any additional required documents must be submitted WITH the application and not emailed separately; A number of scholarships require additional documents, such as a letter of recommendation from a sitting Officer of an ARRL-affiliated club; Transcripts must cover your entire high school career to date and, if in college, must include all semesters for which grades have been awarded.
