Residential Designer
License Description
Applicants for registration must:1) Be at least 21 years old and of good moral character. 2) Have 5 years of combined education and experience (with a minimum of 1 year each of education and experience) meeting State Board approval. 3) Pass the Residential Design Examination administered by the Board. Or, hold an architectural registration form another U.S. jurisdiction. Reciprocity: Applicants who are registered architects in another state may apply for registration by reciprocity. They are not required to pass the Residential Design Examination but they must have previously passed the Architect Registration exam. Fees may be subject to change. Fees are: application--$25; reciprocal application processing --$300; residential designer's examination (4 parts)--$300; certificate of registration--$125; annual registration--$150; stamp--$25.
