Electrical Contractor- Non Restricted
License Description Electrical contractors and low voltage contractors must be licensed in Georgia. Applicant requirements for a general, alarm, telecommunications, or unrestricted low voltage contractor license: 1. One year of approved experience in low-voltage wiring (for alarm license, applicant must have experience with installation or alarm systems. For telecommunication license, applicant must have experience with installation of telecommunication systems) 2. Pass a written exam (Appropriate education may satisfy up to six months of the experience requirements.) Applicant requirements for restricted or non-restricted electrical contractors license: 1. 21 years of age 2. Four years of approved experience in the electrical field (for a non-restricted license, applicant must have experience with installations in excess of single phase, 200 amperes systems) 3. Pass written exam (Appropriate education may satisfy up to six months of the experience requirements.)
