Fertilizer Facility License
License Description The Fertilizer program works to ensure public safety and a fair marketplace by providing oversight of fertilizer products sold in the state. The program administers and enforces the Fertilizer Laws and Regulations, Soil Amendment Act, 100% Natural Organic Fertilizer Act. The program's oversight duties involve inspection of facilities, reviewing producer labeling practices, and random sampling from retail sites and distribution points for laboratory testing against label claims. The program also investigates all claims of product contamination, inferior quality, and unlicensed activity brought to its attention. The Fertilizer Facility License is required for all manufacturers, jobbers, blenders and manipulators and storage of of commercial fertilizer and fertilizer materials in the state of Arkansas. The annual license fee is $50 and expires on 30 JUN of each year.
