Water Treatment Operator
License Description
Persons operating potable water treatment facilities must be certified. Water treatment operators employed by community or nontransient-noncommunity water systems. Fees: The fee varies with the level of certification. Grade; Exam; Certification; Renewal D1/T1: $50; $70; $70 D2/T2: $65; $80; $80 D3/T3: $100; $120; $120 D4/T4: $130; $140; $140 D5/T5: $155; $140; $140 Examination Frequency: Operator Certification examinations, T1-T4 are Computer Based and are available year-round. T5 Examinations are given twice yearly for (June and December). T5 examination locations vary. Experience Requirement: Varies with certification level. Contact the Operator Certification unit or review the Operator Certification Regulations for specific information. Applicant must meet exam requirements, pass exam, and then meet certification requirements. Average Time to Process Application: Three months. Renewal Period: Three years.
