License Description
Fees: Application Fee: $100 DHCC no longer administers a clinical examination and relies on 3rd party regional examinations administered by the Western Regional Examination Board (WREB) and the Central Regional Dental Testing Services (CRDTS) for clinical examination results to apply toward licensure. Examination Frequency: Computer-based examinations on California Dental Law and Ethics specific to RDHs; eligibility is given after application requirements are met. Initial License Issuance Fee: $100.00 License Renewal: $160 (will be $300 effective July 1, 2022) Delinquent Renewal Fee: ½ of current License Renewal Fee (currently $80, but will be $150 effective 7/1/2022) Experience Requirement: Graduation from an accredited (CODA) and DHCC DHBC approved dental hygiene program. Average Time to Process Application: 30 business days. Renewal Period: Biennially (every two years second year).
