License Description Individuals authorized to sell securities as agent for an insurance company or securities broker. Fees: Application: $150 license fee for one-year term; Examination: none; Renewal: not renewable. Fingerprint processing: All applicants must make an appointment and appear at a designated fingerprint processing site. The fee at the California Department of Insurance's (CDI) test centers is $59. The fee at PSI's test centers is $68.95. Examination Frequency: not available Exam Locations: not available Experience Requirement: not available Average Time to Process Application: 1 to 2 weeks. Renewal Period: From date issued to next July 1. License is non-renewable. Each year a new application must be submitted for continuation of an existing stock agent certificate. Special License Requirements: Fingerprint impressions are required for unlicensed applicants. Comments: License issued to individuals only.
