Marital And Family Therapist Associate
License Description Pursuant to Governor Lamont's Executive Order 7V marital and family therapist associates who have completed the required education may practice as a professional counselor associate without obtaining a license for the duration of the COVID-19 civil preparedness emergency. An applicant for licensure as a marital and family therapist associate shall: Have successfully completion of a graduate degree program specializing in marital and family therapy from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE) or completion of a program meeting the requirements outlined in Section 20-195a-2 of the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies at a regionally accredited institution of higher education; Submit verification from a supervising licensed marital and family therapist verifying that the applicant is working toward completing the postgraduate experience required for licensure as a marital and family therapist.
