License Description DESCRIPTION OF OCCUPATION: An Elevator Mechanic assembles, installs, repairs, and maintains elevators, escalators, and similar equipment. REQUIREMENTS FOR LICENSING: Personal requirements: Be at least 18 years of age. Experience requirements: Have "Experience Verification" form signed by a licensed elevator mechanic(s) evidencing satisfactory completion of 4 years of training under their supervision. EXAMINATIONS: Exam developed and administered by Prometric. FEES: Between July 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023, pay $240 (application $40, license $70, Compliance resolution fund $100, second year of biennial license $70). OTHER: There were 236 licenses currently active as of February 24, 2022. ~ revised 12/21
