License Description DESCRIPTION OF OCCUPATION: A Guard stands at entrance or patrols premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules. REQUIREMENTS FOR LICENSING: Personal requirements: 1) Submit FBI fingerprint check through Hawaii Criminal Justice Data Center. 2) A Criminal History Record check. Experience requirements: At least 4 years of full-time guard work. Education requirements: High school graduate or equivalent. EXAMINATIONS: Written exam with 75% score needed to pass. FEES: Between July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023, pay $280 (license $34, compliance resolution fund $148, 1/2 renewal fee $98). OTHER: There were 51 licenses currently active as of February 24, 2022. ~ revised 12/16
