Emergency Medical Technician - Advanced/Paramedic
License Description DESCRIPTION OF OCCUPATION: An Emergency Medical Technician (Paramedic, Advanced) performs basic and advanced life support services to sick and injured persons in prehospital settings as authorized and directed by physician. REQUIREMENTS FOR LICENSING: Education requirements: Complete an EMT training program in level for which you are applying (Paramedic or Advanced). Professional requirements: Hold current National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification for the level for which you are applying (Paramedic or Advanced). EXAMINATIONS: National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) exam for applicants who do not hold the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification. FEES: Between February 1, 2021 and January 31, 2022, pay $102 (application $20, certificate $32, compliance resolution fund $50). Between February 1, 2022 and January 31, 2023, pay $171 (application $20, certificate $32, ½ renewal $19, compliance resolution fund $100).
