License Description DESCRIPTION OF OCCUPATION: A Real Estate Salesperson rents, buys, and sells property to clients. Performs duties such as studying property listings, interviewing prospective clients, accompanying clients to property site, discussing conditions of sale, and drawing up real estate contracts. REQUIREMENTS FOR LICENSING: Personal requirements: 1) Be at least 18 years of age by the exam date. 2) Be a U.S. citizen, a U.S. national, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. by the exam date. 3) Possess a reputation for or record of competency, honesty, truthfulness, financial integrity and fair dealing. Education requirements: Complete the Commission-approved prelicense course given in Hawaii before the date of the exam or obtain a "Prelicensing Education Equivalency". EXAMINATIONS: Exam given by testing agency PSI Services, LLC. OTHER: There were 8,758 licenses currently active as of February 24, 2022. ~ revised 01/21
