Loan Originator Licensees
License Description Mortgage loan originators, mortgage loan processors, and mortgage underwriters who operate as independent contractors must be licensed by the Idaho Department of Finance. To be licensed, applicants must: 1.) Submit an application with required documents and fees; 2.) Complete 20 Hours of pre-license education; 3.) Have no felony convictions; 4.) Not have outstanding bad debts; 5.) Provide Fingerprints and pass a background check; 6.) Pass a written exam. Term: Licenses are renewed annually.
