Independent Insurance Adjuster
License Description Independent adjusters investigate and negotiate settlements for claims arising under insurance contracts. Adjusters who are salaried employees of an insuring company do not require licensure. To be licensed as an independent adjuster, applicants must: 1.) Be 21 years of age; 2.) Submit an application with required documents and fees; 3.) Submit fingerprints and pass a criminal background check; 4.) Have no felony convictions; 5.) Pass a written exam; Term: Licenses are renewed bi-annually.
