Pharmacist
License Description
Pharmacists must be licensed by the State Board of Pharmacy. Applicants for licensure must: 1.) Complete a degree in pharmacy from an accredited school; 2.) Complete a 1740 hour internship under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, usually completed under the supervision of a college of pharmacy; 3.) Pass the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (NAPLEX) and Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination (MPJE); 4.) Submit an application with required documents and fees; 5.) Submit fingerprints and pass a criminal background check; 6.) Submit references of good moral character and temperate habits. Term: Licenses are renewed annually as of July 1.
