License Description
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION Assumes responsible charge, supervision, and/or direction of journeyman plumbers and apprentices as well as offers to engage in or contract the construction, installation or alteration of plumbing systems. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to read, comprehend and write. EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS Contact the regulatory agency for application procedures. Normally the test is given once each quarter or as determined by the regulatory agency. Written and drawing examination is given, with a passing score of 75% allowed on one (1) phase of the examination with an overall score of 80%. Examination is in the English language. The examination fee is $150.00. Should you fail, contact the regulatory agency. GENERAL INFORMATION for LICENSURE or CERTIFICATION Must be a citizen of the United States or have first papers. Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. There are no residency or health requirements. You must be of good moral character. Must possess a journeyman plumber license for two (2) years and actively employed in plumbing in two (2) of the last five (5) years. All license are renewed annually by June 30 through the regulatory agency with a renewal fee of $150.00.
