Certified Peer Recovery Mentor (C.P.R.M.)
License Description To receive a Certified Peer Recovery Mentor certification, an applicant must first acquire up to 500 hours of full or part-time alcohol or drug addiction peer recovery support services. Additionally, they must have a high school diploma or equivalency and up to 46 education hours of education in Peer Recovery support within the areas defined by the IC&RC Peer Recovery Performance domains. Furthermore, an applicant must have 25 hours or more of direct supervision performing peer recovery mentor functions, with at least 5 hours in each domain. Finally, once these qualifications have been met, the IC&RC/PR exam must be taken and passed and a licensing application submitted to the Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals. The accompanying application fee is $65.00.
