License Description Related Terms and Definitions: This application should be used for prospective nurses seeking licensure in the state of Mississippi who has never held a nursing license. NURSING PROGRAM GRADUATION You must have graduated from a nursing program (RN or LPN) which substantially meets the same educational criteria as Mississippi nursing programs. NURSING PROGRAM TRANSCRIPT You must request your nursing program to submit an official transcript to the Mississippi Board of Nursing in a sealed envelope to the address below. Transcripts can be sent electronically through your nursing program using Parchment. Faxed transcripts are not accepted. SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER (SSN) You must have a valid Social Security Number. You will not be able to complete the application without submitting your SSN. ENHANCED NURSE LICENSURE COMPACT Uniform Licensure Requirements you will be issued a multi-state license. If you do not meet the ULRs and/or Mississippi is not your PSOR you may be issued a single-state license giving privilege to practice in Mississippi only.
