License Description There is no State required auctioneer license in Missouri. However, Missouri Law, §343.010 RSMo, defines an auctioneer as an individual "who sells goods, merchandise, or property of any kind, at public or private auction, for another person, and who receives any commission or compensation of any kind for conducting such sale." Any individual who fits the definition of an auctioneer and conducts their trade or business in any County must have a valid auctioneer license. Individual county commission office responsible for issuing an auctioneer license. Fees and requirements varies by county.
