Occupational Description


Grooms are employed by licensed Trainers at a racetrack.  They are responsible for the care of the horse and barn area, including the feeding, bathing, and maintaining the general appearance of the horse.

Licensure Requirements


A groom must be at least 16 years old.A felony conviction may be grounds for denial.

Fees


License Fee - $15.00.

Renewal


Renewal is required annually by December 31.  The renewal fee is $15.00.Fingerprints are required every 5 years.
