Fireworks Display Operator
License Description
Occupational Description
Fireworks Display Operators perform firework displays which utilize Class B fireworks. They are in charge of all aspects of the display, including supervising individuals, setting up the location, ensuring safe distances are maintained, and crowd control.
Licensure Requirements
Fireworks Display Operators must pass the Nebraska State Fire Marshal Firework Public Display Operator Test with a score of 80% or higher, and must be 18 or older on the date the test is administered. A Citizenship Attestation form must also be submitted, and must be received by the State Fire Marshal's office at least 5 business days prior to the examination date.

A new test must be passed every three years.
