License Description

Occupational Description


Producer: Any person who operates a dairy farm and provides, sells, or offers milk for sale to a milk plant, receiving station or transfer station. Field Representative: Any person who is employed or contracted with, by a milk plant to inform new producers about the requirements of dairy farm sanitation and assist dairy producers with milk quality problems; collect and submit samples; and advise the Department of issues that may lead to public health concerns. 

Licensure Requirements


 Producer: No additional requirements Field Representative: As a condition precedent to the issuance of a permit pursuant to the Nebraska Milk Act, the annual permit fees shall be paid to the department on or before August 1 of each year. 

Fees


Producer: No fee Field Representative: The annual fee is $25.00 

Renewal


 The annual permit fees shall be paid to the department on or before August 1 of each year.
