License Description

Occupational Description


 Pilot: Operates fixed-wing aircraft, rotary-wing aircraft, lighter-than-air, powered or unpowered, single or multiple passenger seating, cargo carrying aircraft for personal or commercial purposes. ~ Commercial Pilot: Can transport passengers or goods for compensation. ~ Airline Transport Pilot: Is a pilot trained and tested to a higher level of skill and knowledge and can transport passengers or goods for compensation. ~ Flight Instructor: Instructs students for certification in aircraft operations.

Certification Requirements are found in Title 14 CFR Parts 61, 63, and 65.

Fees


Certifications are conducted by Designated Examiners and fees are set by the Examiner, not by the FAA Administrator.
