License Description To be licensed in Nevada you must meet both the education and experience requirements. Education: Bachelors degree which includes 150 semester hours of education (transcripts required). For a listing of the required courses that must be included in the 150 hours, visit the Board's website. Experience: 2 years of public accounting experience. In addition, applicants must: 1) Pass the Uniform CPA examination. 2) Pass a professional ethics examination (Rules of Professional Conduct). 3) Submit fingerprint cards for an Investigation of Criminal History. 4) Provide moral character references. Reciprocity: Applicants who sat for the CPA exam and have a license in another state may apply for a license in Nevada by reciprocity. Applicants will be held to the requirements in Nevada at the time of licensure in the other state. Evidence of having met the educational, exam and experience requirements must be provided with the application. Moral character references, 20 hours of continuing education and results of an ethics exam must also be provided. \b+~Fees\b-~ Fees may be subject to change. Fees are: license application fee --$250 (includes $50 investigation fee); annual license renewal--$140; application for original certificate--$250; examination application --$100 (initial) or $50 (re-exam); exam fees per section (billed by NASBA*) - $171 or $191 (depending on the section). *NASBA = National Association of State Boards of Accountancy.
