Audiologist
License Description Audiologists practicing in the state must be licensed through the Board. Those persons working in the school districts must be licensed through the Department of Education and are not required to maintain the state licensure, however, if they also work outside of the schools, both would be required. Audiologists who also dispense hearing aids must pass the dispensing written and practical State Board examinations. Applicants must: 1) Be of good moral character. 2) Have a doctorate degree in Audiology from an accredited college (official transcripts required), and 3a) Hold current American Board of Audiology (ABA) or American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASLA) certification. 4) Provide three professional references. Fees are: initial application/license--$250; annual license renewal--$100.
