Nursing Facility Administrator
License Description Applicants must: 1) Be at least 21 years old, of good moral character, physically and mentally able to care for disabled or elderly patients, and free of communicable diseases. 2) Be able to speak, read, understand and write in English. 3) Have at least a bachelor's degree. 4) Have at least 1,000 hours of the NAB-approved Administrator-in-Training Program that is also approved by the board. 5) Complete 8 hours of regulation training. 6) Pass the National Board of Examiners of Long Term Care Administrators' exam (NAB). 7) Submit 2 fingerprint cards (or a receipt of electronic submission) for a background check. Visit the board website for more information on the education and training requirements. Fees are subject to change. Fees are: application request-- $25; initial application/license-- $645; biennial license renewal-- $350; background clearance-- $60 (cards) or $15 (electronic).
