Residential Group Care/Assisted Living Administrator
License Description Applicants must: 1) Be at least 21 years old, of good moral character, physically and mentally able to care for disabled or elderly patients, and free of communicable diseases. 2) Have at least a high school diploma or the equivalent. 3) Be able to speak, read, understand and write in English. 4) Have completed the board-approved 100-hour Certificate Program Introductory Course. 5) Complete the board-approved Administrator-in-Training program. 6) Complete 8 hours of regulation training. 7) Pass the National Board of Examiners of Long Term Care Administrators' (NAB) RC/AL exam. 8) Submit 2 fingerprint cards (or a receipt of electronic submission) for a background check. Visit the board website for more information on the education and training requirements. Fees are subject to change. Fees are: application request-- $25; licensure program introductory course - $2,450; biennial license renewal-- $350; background clearance-- $60 (cards) or $15 (electronic).
