Behavior Analyst and Assistant Behavior Analyst
License Description Applicants for Behavior Analyst licensure must: 1) Be at least 21 and of good moral character. 2) Have a master's degree from an accredited institution in a field of social science or special education. 3) Hold current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (from the BACB). 4) Pass a State Board examination. 5) Submit fingerprints for a background check. Applicants for Assistant Behavior Analyst licensure must: 1) Be at least 21 and of good moral character. 2) Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a field of social science or special education. 3) Hold current certification as a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (from the BACB). 4) Pass a State Board examination. 5) Submit fingerprints for a background check. Note: The Board also certifies Autism Behavior Interventionists. Visit the Board Website for more information. Fees may be subject to change. Fees are: application--$100; state examination--$75; biennial license renewal--$400 (Behavior Analyst) - $275 (Assistant Behavior Analyst).
