Claims Adjuster
License Description Categories of licensure are independent or public adjusters, or associate adjusters. Applicants for licensure as independent or public adjusters must: 1) Be 18 years of age or older. 2) Have 2 years of experience handling claims and adjusting (within the past 5 years). 3) Pass the property and casualty exam administered by Pearson VUE. 4) Have not been convicted of or plead guilty to certain crimes (see website below). 5) Submit 2 fingerprint cards for a criminal history report. Associate adjusters must be 18 or older and an employee of a Nevada licensed adjuster. They do not need to meet residency requirements and are not required to take the exam. Visit the Division website for more information on the licensing requirements. Fees may be subject to change. Fees are: licensing --$195; fingerprinting --$37.50 (payable to Department of Public Safety) or $55.25 (electronic by Pearson VUE).
