Asbestos Abatement Contractors, Supervisors, Workers & Consultants
License Description
Applicants for a Contractor's license must: 1) Have 2 years of asbestos abatement experience. 2) Provide proof of industrial insurance and a photo ID. 3) Provide a copy of their Nevada State Contractor's Board license. 4) Provide proof of successful completion of a 5-day, EPA-approved training course for contractors* taken within the previous 12 months (or proof of certification of current refresher training if the initial training was more than 10 months prior to your application). *Approved by the EPA pursuant to the Model Contractor Accreditation Plan. Applicants for a Supervisor's license must: 1) Provide evidence of at least 4 months of experience supervising projects for asbestos abatement. 2) Provide proof of successful completion of a 5-day, EPA-approved initial training course for asbestos abatement supervisor and a copy of certification of current refresher training if the initial training has expired. 3) Provide a photo ID. Applicants for a Worker's license must: 1) Provide proof of successful completion of a 4-day, EPA-approved initial training course for asbestos abatement worker and a copy of certification of current refresher training if the initial training has expired. 2) Provide a photo ID. Additional Information: The Division also issues licenses for asbestos abatement consultants in the following categories: inspector, management planner, project designer and project monitor. Visit the Division website for more information on the requirements. Fees may be subject to change. Fees are: contractor's license --$200; supervisor's license --$50; worker's license --$25; consultant license --$100.
