Middle School and Junior High Teacher
License Description
A middle school or junior high school license authorizes the holder to teach grades 7-9*. Applicants must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, and must have: 1) Completed an approved program for middle school or junior high teaching, or 2) Completed 24 semester credits in professional education approved by the Department, and 3) Completed 24 semester credits in a major field of endorsement or area of concentration. * Note: The middle school/junior high license does not qualify one to teach 9th grade in a high school setting. Visit the Department website for further information on requirements and course work. Reciprocity: A license to teach in Nevada under state reciprocity may be issued under certain conditions. Fees are subject to change. Fees are: initial application - $161; additional endorsement - $50.
