Fire Protection Equipment Installers and Repairers
License Description The Fire Marshal's Office requires a certificate of registration for many fire protection-related equipment installers and repairers. Certificates are in the following areas: portable fire extinguishers, engineered/pre-engineered extinguishing systems, backflow prevention, hydrants, fire alarm/protective signaling systems, automatic fire sprinkler systems, underground sprinkler systems, hood and duct cleaning, standpipe systems, residential fire sprinkler systems, and heat detectors (EWD). Visit the Fire Marshal's Office website for more information. Fees may be subject to change. Fees are: certificate -- $71.50; renewal -- $33.00.
