High Medium Voltage Electricians install, repair, alter, and maintain electrical conductors, fittings, devices, fixtures, and equipment, from the source of supply to the first disconnecting means of a building or structure, for power distribution systems of over 600 volts, including associated controls and metering. They must comply with the current edition of the National Electric Code. High medium voltage trainee electricians learn to perform the above duties under supervision of a High Medium Voltage Electrician, or a Master or Journeyman Electrician.
