Professional Foresters plan, develop, and control environmental factors affecting forests, range land, and farm land and their resources for economic and recreational purposes through activities such as researching soil erosion, conducting fire-prevention programs, reforestation, and preservation of natural resources.

Licensure Requirements:
- Good professional character
- One of the following:
- A four-year forestry degree and two years of experience; or
- A two-year forestry degree and four years of experience; or
- A four-year related degree and four years of experience; or
- A two-year related degree and six years of experience; or
- No degree and eight years of experience
- Application with residence, education, summary of technical experience, and five references
Examination: Written examination is required
Continuing Education: 20 hours of continuing education required for biennial renewal

- Application fee: $60
- Licensure fee: $60
- Examination: $100
- Re-examination: $100
- Biennial renewal: $120
- Replacement of license certificate: $30
Reciprocity: Granted to licensed foresters from states whose requirements are comparable to the requirements of RSA 310-A as it relates to forestry and the practice of forestry
