Clinical Mental Health Counselors counsel and aid individuals and families with problems that may arise during or following the recovery from physical or mental illness by providing support services designed to help persons understand, accept, and follow medical recommendations.

Licensure Requirements:
Examination: Written National Clinical Mental Health Counselor examination required
Continuing Education: 40 hours of continuing education units (CEUs) every two years, and 20 hours of collaboration per year
Fees:
Reciprocity: Permitted, according to the standards of other states. Must exceed or equal the New Hampshire Board's requirements.
