License Description JOB DESCRIPTION: A dietitian provides nutritional care to individuals and groups by applying the principles of good nutrition to food preparation and selection. A dietitian assesses individual nutritional needs, develops nutritional programs, and evaluates the client's response to the program. Many community dietitians promote sound health. Dietitians may direct food service operations of hotels, hospitals, nursing homes, and institutions such as schools, prisons, and hospitals.
