License Description JOB DESCRIPTION: A jockey rides racehorses at the racetrack and confers with training personnel to plan a strategy for the race, based on the ability and peculiarities of their own and other horses in competition. A jockey mounts the horse in the paddock after weighing-in and rides the horse to a specified numbered stall of the starting gate. A jockey races from the starting gate to the finish line and talks to training personnel after the race to analyze the horse's performance.
