Pesticide Applicator, Non-Commercial (Certified)
License Description
JOB DESCRIPTION: A non-commercial certified pesticide applicator applies pesticide or herbicide to kill pests that infest buildings or weeds in surrounding areas as part of their job. The pesticide applicator applies the pesticide or herbicide through chemical spraying, dusting, or spreading granular materials and does not receive any additional payment other than their regular salary. The pesticide applicator may also clean areas that harbor pests, select appropriate extermination methods and chemicals, and counsel clients on prevention and control of pests. A pesticide applicator certified to work non-commercially may utilize pesticides only in specified areas like apartments, government owned parks and golf courses, and city & county employees performing duties in line with their work.
