License Description JOB DESCRIPTION: A real estate appraiser provides an unbiased comprehensive evaluation of real property to determine its value for purchase, sale, investment, mortgage, or loan purposes. The appraiser conducts on-site visits to property locations to obtain measurements and examine property for construction, condition, and functional design. The appraiser also researches variables such as trends, surrounding property values, leases, and other transactions. The appraiser communicates the results of this appraisal activity via a written report that presents the rationale for appraisal decisions, along with supporting evidence. Real estate appraisers are normally self-employed. Clients include lenders, attorneys, and government agencies. *There is a degree requirement only for the higher/certified levels.
