Embalmer License by Reciprocity
License Description
The Oregon Mortuary and Cemetery Board (Board) is authorized to recognize embalmers from other states, provided the applicant can show proof satisfactory to the Board that the applicant is licensed in good standing in another state and has practiced as a funeral service practitioner or an embalmer in another state for three of the five years immediately preceding the application date, has complied with requirements in the state in which he / she was licensed with requirements substantially equal to Oregon's requirements, and the license(s) is in good standing. In order to qualify for an embalmer's license, you must submit the completed Embalmer License by Reciprocity application with the required documentation.
