Psychologist Limited Practice Permit
License Description A limited permit to practice psychology in Oregon is available to licensed psychologists from other jurisdictions for time specific periods. There are two types of limited permits: (a) A Visitor's Permit is effective for no more than 30 days in a 12 month period. Generally, limited permits may be granted to licensed psychologists who live and work in other jurisdictions and need to come to Oregon to participate or engage in a specific work related activity and who plan to return to their home jurisdiction when the work is complete. (b) A Temporary Permit to practice psychology in Oregon is available to a approved applicant for full licensure by endorsement. The permit is valid for 90 days, during which time the applicant must take and pass the Oregon Jurisprudence Exam. Those who have not been licensed for at least 5 years in another state must name an Oregon consultant.
