Nurse Practitioners Authorization
License Description
For workers' compensation claims in Oregon, a nurse practitioner must become authorized prior to treating a patient. To become an authorized nurse practitioner, they MUST be an Oregon licensed nurse practitioner and review the following materials: An introduction to the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine's disability prevention guidelines, "Preventing Needless Work Disability by Helping People Stay Employed" ; and The Employer-at-Injury Program (return-to-work) information .
