License Description
PSYCHOLOGICAL EXAMINER
Psychological Examiners are Health Service Providers that may provide psychological services without supervision that include interviewing or administering and interpreting tests of mental abilities, aptitudes, interests and personality characteristics for such purposes as psychological evaluations or for educational or vocational guidance, selection or placement, including establishment of intellectual level of functioning or learning deficit for school placement.
* NO NEW PSYCHOLOGICAL EXAMINER LICENSES ARE BEING ISSUED AFTER DECEMBER 31, 2004. T.C.A. 63-11-207(a)(4). ONLY UPGRADES TO SENIOR PSYCHOLOGICAL EXAMINER ARE BEING ISSUED.
REQUIREMENTS:
Licensed as a Senior Psychological Examiner, must satisfy education, experience, and examination requirements.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
In addition to the educational requirements of a Senior Psychological Examiner, the applicant shall provide verification of completion of two hundred (200) hours of post-licensure continuing education, as provided in Rule 1180-03-.02(2)(b).
