NURSE, LICENSED VOCATIONAL (LVN)
License Description Licensed vocational nurses are trained in a Board-approved education program to function as members of the health care team with a directed scope of practice under appropriate supervision. They may administer prescribed medications, change sterile dressings, monitor vital signs, assist clients with activities of daily living, and participate in providing care in various employment settings. Most LVN's care for clients with non-life-threatening conditions or illnesses.
