TOW TRUCK OPERATOR
License Description Tow truck operators assist motorists, first responders and others by performing tows of vehicles from public roadways and private property for a fee, in conjunction with a licensed tow truck company. Three license types are available: Incident Management (This is a tow of a vehicle from a public road due to an accident or incident. This includes when a vehicle owner requests the tow but towing adversely affects traffic on the public roadway), Private Property Tow (a tow of a vehicle authorized by the owner of a parking facility (for example, an apartment building parking lot, restaurant, paid parking lot) without the consent of the owner or operator of the vehicle) or Consent Tow (a tow of a motor vehicle in which the tow truck is summoned by the owner or operator of the vehicle, or by a person who has possession, custody, or control of the vehicle when the tow is not from a public roadway that affects traffic flow.)
