License Description
Fire Marshal > Divisions > Fire Services > Building Code Official Building Code Official Page ContentAuthority: WV Code Chapter 29, Article 3, Section 5b(c), Legislative Rule Title 87, Series 7 Effective: August 1, 2016 All persons employed or serving as a public building code official, building code inspector, or building code plans examiner shall be certified by the WV State Fire Commission in his/her respective classification. Building Code Official Application Legislative Rule, Certification of Building Code Officials Legislative Rule, State Building Code Certification Process Complete the application and all supporting documentation and fees. Normally will require copies of jurisdictional adoption of State Building Code and letters of employment. Expect certifications to be returned within fifteen (15) days after receipt.
