License Description
Engineering Intern Certification The table below contains a list of relevant forms necessary for those who have successfully passed the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE) and want to apply for Engineer Intern certification by the West Virginia State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers. The WV State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers will only accept application forms that print out exactly as the ones provided on this site. If the forms do not print out on your printer EXACTLY as they appear on the screen, contact the WV Board office to request hard copies be sent to you through postal mail. You must have the Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to view and print the Adobe Acrobat PDF files or you may use Microsoft Word to open and complete the Word forms. If you do not have the Adobe Acrobat Reader program installed on your computer, you may obtain a free copy by clicking on the "Get Acrobat Reader" link at the bottom of this page. Beginning January 2, 2014, all candidates who wish to take the NCEES FE Exam will register online directly with NCEES at www.ncees.org. Candidates will not be required to submit an application or pay a fee to the WV State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers prior to registration with NCEES or before passing the FE Exam. The NCEES website has been updated to show additional information regarding the FE and PE exam transition to CBT, including the projected schedule for the remaining PE exams. Engineering Intern Application MaterialsExam Candidates Engineer Intern Certification Application Form The WV EI Certification application process is a post-exam process that cannot be completed until the applicant has successfully passed the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam. Eligible candidates will first register directly with NCEES to sit for the FE Exam offered via Computer-Based Testing at an approved Pearson-Vue testing center. Once the eligible examinee successfully passes the FE Exam, they will then be permitted to apply to the WV PE Board for Engineer Intern Certification.
