PHYSICIANS ASSISTANT
License Description A physician assistant is an individual licensed by the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board to perform patient services under the supervision and direction of a licensed physician. A physician assistant's practice may not exceed his or her educational training or experience and may not exceed the scope of practice of the supervising physician. For a list of patient services a physician assistant may provide see Med 8.07(2), Wis. Admin. Code. No person may designate himself or herself as a "physician assistant" or use or assume the title "physician assistant" or append to the person's name the words or letters "physician assistant" or "P.A." or any other titles, letters or designation which represents or may tend to represent the person as a physician assistant unless licensed as a physician assistant by the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board.
