INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY COORDINATOR
License Description Wisconsin states, "An instructional technology coordinator license is required for any person who is responsible for the direction and administration of the instructional computing and other instructional technology at the district level." Districts are not required to have an Instructional Technology Coordinator; but if they do have one, they must be licensed. Building-level technology personnel are not required to have this license. Any person seeking to teach in a public school, including a charter school, or in a school or institution operated by a county or the state shall first procure a license or permit from the department. (Wis. Stats 118.19(1)) Educator licensure in Wisconsin is based on completion of a state-approved educator preparation program. The Teacher Education, Professional Development, and Licensing (TEPDL) team web pages provide information about approved programs, licensing requirements and application/renewal procedures.
